I cannot be the only 20-something year old that has had enough of utterly useless and corrupt leadership.

It is appalling that instead of working on issues that will keep the planet - God’s gift to all of us - alive for future generations by accepting and tackling challenges such as climate change, our leadership is consistently entangled in matters that are a waste of everyone’s time, such as making sure their influence is untarnished and their credibility and reputation are untainted.
It is appalling that some in leadership are more concerned about their own reputation than the (physical or spiritual) lives of those they are supposedly a leader of.
It is appalling that during times of extreme injustice and inequality, whether it is racially, economically, environmentally, or based on gender, that some of these leaders turn a blind eye to what is actually impacting individuals and choose to focus on personal and vain concerns.
As any first-generation American can probably sympathize with, it is a consistent struggle of balancing contrasting worldviews, contrasting lifestyles, and contrasting expectations.
But even with this delicate tightrope walking act, it is imperative to demand more of the leaders in charge of both of these ecosystems.
Whether they are political or religious leaders, they must do more.
Most importantly, they must focus on issues and concerns that go beyond their own personal interests. They must cease clinging to their antiquated priorities that do not represent or effect the vast majority of people that they are responsible for leading.
It is no longer enough to pretend that there are not pressing issues that need to be addressed.
More must be done.
